I love the feel of a good jewelry silver chain. The ones I seem to come back to time and again are the snake chains. They have a nice, slinky feeling, and they sit neatly on the neck. Oh, and I think this particular silver necklace sets off a pendant perfectly, although they look really nice just as is, too. I know. It’s hard to get absolutely enthusiastic over a minor accessory. But to me, it isn’t minor. It’s what you notice about someone right away, and when you are going to impress someone, either for a job interview or on a date, you want to look nice. Also, make sure you get the length that works for the neckline you plan to wear.
If you’re wearing sterling silver jewellery with an antique finish, you can wear either a snake chain or a rope chain. (Of course, you already know where my preference lies) but if you are wearing a silver design that is perfectly shiny, really polished to a high sheen, I would go for the snake chain without question. Then there’s the matter of what kind of latch your necklace has. Is there any debate? The lobster clasp, of course. It is so much easier than struggling with one of those little spring rings. The less hassle it is to put on your silver or gold necklace, the more likely you will actually wear it!
