The Madagascar Tree – An Exceptional Indoor Pre Bonsai

I was looking at different pre bonsai trees I could try for myself and I wasn’t sure what to choose. At first I couldn’t make up my mind if I wanted an indoor or an outdoor tree, but once I really thought it through decided that an indoor tree would better suit my lifestyle – Well maybe not my style so much as my location – In Canada if you want to view your trees all year you’d better get something you can keep inside. And I found something quite exceptional – this wonderful Madagascar Pre bonsai.

Maybe you’re curious and what the heck is a pre-bonsai? It’s not a simple indoor house plant. A pre-bonsai is a subtropical or even tropical tree or shrub that is sold in a training container and gradually has been fashioned to give it a future as a bonsai tree. It hasn’t been planted in the real bonsai pot although its roots have been trimmed now and then to maintain the tree in a small container. What comes next? One, learn about what the plant needs. Dig in and, buy yourself a book or join your local bonsai society. Check out the stores selling bonsai supplies. Get soil specially mixed for bonsai trees, and maybe even some moss spores. Study the contours of this fabulous tree and think about how it will be in a few years and try your hand.
